Cloud Backups

Nowadays the OnPremises infrastructure of the clients even if it’s a private cloud isn’t longer enough, since no matter the investment that is made always the Cloud providers will have better conditions of equipment and processes so they will always be more secure, therefore, one of the most important ways today is to save the data in some Cloud.

There are different variants that are taken into account to make the decision to back up the information, below we mention the most prominent to do so:

• Protection of data and applications, by storing critical data and applications offsite, they are protected in case of inclement weather and power outages.

• Rapid data recovery, data backed up by cloud servers can be restored quickly, allowing users to gain immediate access to desired files or systems.

• Reliable disaster recovery, cloud backup services provide users with instant access to critical data and applications in the event of natural or self-induced disasters.

• Flexible storage, unlike traditional backup techniques, where data is stored locally on a hard disk or tape with limited capacity, cloud-based backup can be rapidly scaled up or down.

In the facilities of Cloud providers, details are taken care of that lead their Data Centers to be certified with the maximum level which is Tier4, this is related to the levels of redundancy that apply to each resource that uses the center, i.e. these buildings, not only have an electricity line that supplies energy for example, but has at least two different companies, each with several substations and each line with at least 2 emergency plants and in turn each with at least 2 backup power batteries (UPSs), etc.. All this to achieve a 99.999 availability of its services, reducing to a minimum the possibility of an outage.

The above does not give an overview of the importance of having our data protected with everything that is within our hands, since the loss of the same impacts us strongly in business, so if they are better protected with so many security measures is advisable to have a backup copy of our data in a service that offers this protection.
